The Indian River Land Trust advocates for key conservation issues important to Indian River County and the protection of its land and water resources. In 2014, the Indian River Land Trust endorsed a successful effort for a Florida constitutional amendment to create stable, long-term funding for conservation programs like Florida Forever and Everglades restoration, ensuring that we safeguard our most treasured waters and lands for future generations. In 2022, the Land Trust is spearheading an effort with other county environmental groups to promote a $50 million local bond referendum to preserve and protect environmental important land and water resources across the county
